paneer or yogurt on request.

For many years, the Seventh Day Adventists (who have their
Canadian headquarters in Oshawa) have operated a treasure of a
vegetarian resource, a "hidden" grocery store in the back
of the ABC Bookstore. It offers foods unavailable in any health food
store. There are also deals on bulk items like nutritional yeast and
tvp. Located in the Adventist compound in East Oshawa. Look for the
Kingsway greenhouse.

in June 2011 as the newest addition to Oshawa's King Street. The café

Look closely for this tiny restaurant. The logo is difficult to
see, especially at night, and parking is congested. Beware that shrimp
sauce, oyster sauce or fish sauce is used in almost every dish, even
those marked "vegetarian". The staff is very happy to remake
any dish, even at peak times. The food is delicious and unique so
well-worth the inconvenience and preamble.

attraction is the variety of fine Malaysian and Thai dishes available

available.

The owners have made a commitment to
vegetarians and vegans. Last week, they were serving a lovely maple
